Little Phoenix and the Reign of Fists was a 2007 short that was made with a cast of beautiful and talented women who know how to take care of themselves. Trained in Thai Kickboxing, Savate, Aikido, Kung Fu and Mixed Martial Arts, these women did all of their own stunts and fight choreography.
Shaolin Sisters was a short that I made in 2004 and it features a simple hand to hand exchange between two sisters as they fight to control a tube of lipstick that they found in their laundry. Based on Shaolin kung-fu with a bit of Lotus style kung-fu, Donna Kim and Mai Cao give it all they’ve got in an epic backyard showdown that ends with more laundry.
