I am a sound editor who has been working in Toronto, Ontario for the last 15 years. Working on TV series such as the North American “Queer as Folk” and features like “Ginger Snaps” and “Silent Hill”, I have garnered a DGC award for best Sound Editing and numerous Genie and Gemini nominations.
With Digidesign’s sound editing program Pro Tools, I can edit, mix and record audio for film, video and music production and post-production. I am also proficient at Final Cut Pro, Soundtrack, After Effects, iMovie, DVD Studio Pro, Garage Band, Photoshop, Lightroom and Illustrator. I am most comfortable on the Mac operating system but I can navigate a PC or Linux system as well.
I am a lover of film and I really enjoy the seamlessness of a soundtrack that complements the movie, immersing the audience in the story as opposed to calling attention to itself. Movies like “No Country for Old Men” are setting new standards for soundtracks that don’t rely on music to set the mood.
Here’s a list of my latest sound editing work on imdb.
